Pattern

Mixing patterns is never a bad idea. Combining natural patterns such as wood and rainbow refractions from a open window can make a cool combination of the two and creates a pleasing colour pallet as well.

Depth

Taking photographs from above or underneath is a good way to give the view a sense of 3D effect and depth. By focusing on the closer object and fading out the background, the viewer is able to understand the dimension of the object a lot better than just taking a flat picture.

Symmetry

Symmetry is always satisfying to look at and is pleasing to the eye when found naturally. Looking for high viewpoints where land is seen spread out below is a simple way to find symmetry and centering the camera view point to the center of the view is a sure way to capture everything wanted in the shot.

Circles

Finding similar shapes in natural settings or architectural builds can help develop a photograph’s visual aspect as well as completion and satisfaction of the viewer when looking at the photograph and yours after seeing the end result of taking the shot.

Texture

Taking pictures with flash at night can be a good way to capture delicate details such as raindrops and flower petals. Playing with texture is never a bad idea and can end up with a beautiful outcome.
